Thierry (Terry) Montfort, PE

As a senior mechanical engineer, Mr. Montfort has more than 35 years of diverse experience in various aspects of process equipment. He has worked as lead project engineer for major pollution control and air scrubber manufactures such as DuPont Belco and Procedyne Corp. He has conducted detailed design and manufacture of catalyst activators, fluidized bed reactors, gas-solids processing, fluid bed dryers and pressure vessels. At FSI, Mr. Montford is responsible for design and fabrication of filtration test setups and prototypes for various R & D projects. He has also designed and developed new commercial products for water/wastewater treatment and hydrocarbon/solvent purification.

 

In carrying out various projects through the years, Mr. Montfort has acquired computational and analytical capabilities including the application of MathCad, Finite element Analysis (FEA) software, Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. He also performs programmable Logical Controller (PLC) programming for automation of various processes. Besides these technical skills, he has extensive field experience involving system installation, start-up, testing and troubleshooting. He is also proficient with various industrial design standards including ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1 & 2, API 620 & 650, ASME B31.3, TEMA, ASCE-7, WRC Bulletins, AISC, AWS welding standards, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, ASME Y14.5M-1994, ASME Y14.24M-1989 (R1996).

 

Mr. Montfort holds two U.S. patents in filtration related areas. He is affiliated with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and ASM International.

 

Mr. Montfort holds a B.S.M.E. from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a registered and licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey.

 

Mr. Montfort is a U.S. Navy veteran.
