Finite Element Analysis
FSI often works with customers closely to develop customized systems for specific applications. Whether the application involves extreme operating conditions with pressure or thermal requirements or has to meet tough military specifications, FSI performs structural and thermal Finite Element Analyses for either static or dynamic problems on a regular basis to ensure the best solution. An example of a pressure vessel design is shown below.

- Vibration and Natural Frequency
- Thermal and Heat Transfer
This example shows the header of a pressure vessel under internal pressure. The figure below shows the stress contours of the inside surface. Note that only half of the structure is shown because this model takes advantage of the real part's structural symmetry.
The animation below shows the vessel as it is inflated and deflated under 150 psi of internal pressure. The deflection has been exaggerated 30 times for viewing purposes.
