FRS - Fuel and Solvent Recycling SystemSolve Fuel and Solvent Filtration Problems!FSI has developed innovative technologies to remove debris and free water from fossil fuels and hydrocarbon based solvents. These systems can handle fuel containing up to 5% emulsified or free water and they output clean fuel with less than 5 ppm water and 0.2 ppm suspended solids. Since the FRS system is surfactant resistant, it can also be used to process fuel containing additives (e.g. +100) without sacrificing performance. FRS systems exceed the performance specifications set forth in API 1581 for Category C, Category M, and Category M100 fuel filters. |

Surfactant Resistant Fuel Recycling Systems!FSI's fuel and solvent recycling filtration systems employ a patented, advanced membrane separation technology to remove free water, emulsified water, and dirt from fuels and solvents. At the heart of these systems are FSI's proprietary fouling resistant water selective membranes. FSI's water-selective filter elements simplify the two-stage filtration and separation process into a one-stage process. The approach makes use of cross-flow, which is a surface filtration technique that minimizes the build up of the membrane surface cake layer and eliminates the passage blockage encountered when depth filtering is subjected to dry conditions. In addition, the filter element takes advantage of a spiral-wound membrane cartridge design that maximizes filtrate flow capacity for a given volume to facilitate high capacity applications. Standard SystemsFiltration Solutions, Inc. offers the following standard fuel and solvent recycling filtration systems with automatic or manual controls. FSI also provides customized filtration systems and a high capacity modular design (shown below) to meet the specific needs of our customers.
High Capacity Modular Design AvailableIn this systematic modular design, each module is a totally contained element cartridge with its own housing. Cartridge replacement is simple and easy, and there is no direct human contact with fuel or oil. The modular design allows the system to have a very flexible and customizable capacity. The schematic below shows FSI's modular design fuel filtration process. The membrane elements are each designed as totally contained filter cartridges, and are connected to the feed, permeate, and retentate lines through three quick-disconnect connections. Therefore, replacing a cartridge is a simple job, and no tools are needed. High Capacity Modular Filtration System
